Small Weddings
Every couple, brides especially have their dream wedding in their heads for a while. While some want the extravaganza, others want something very intimate. If you fall into the latter category, then you may need some help planning a small wedding.
We worked closely with a client that recently had an intimate small wedding. And I totally could relate with her as my husband and I also had a small wedding, 22 guests plus us! This post shows that you don't need to have a large wedding with all the details once you find the right venue that is already lush in decor, surrounded by established landscaping and just the right size to suit your wedding nuptials that includes your friends and family.
With a busy schedule as a doctor, Paxton with her fiance Alec were pressed for time when wedding planning. With the idea of a large wedding and everything that's involved with one and their schedules that idea started to get put on hold. Before she knew it she had decided to make things simple on her and the pressure of her schedule that a small wedding, not a micro wedding, was more what she needed to organize and plan.
The venue dictated the size of the wedding which included their family and very close friends. They found the cutest and timeless small wedding venue called
Shoogie Boogies in Sarasota, FL. This elegant European inspired indoor and outdoor garden setting wedding venue accommodates private venues up to 45 people. They even take care of all the extras like your floral table arrangements, surrounding floral and ambiance and decor. The Food and wine they offer is out of this world. You can get married on site as well so it's a lovely one stop shop for your ceremony and reception. For getting ready they do not have the space so a nearby hotel would do the trick for that option if needed. This beautiful space doesn't disappoint and it's a must add on your venue list if you are looking for small and private. Beautifully captured by

For Paxton's wedding invitations, she really was drawn to our
Ashlynn suite that has orange blossoms, orchids and oranges. She was mostly gravitating towards the white flowers with greenery because that is the decor of Shoogie Boogies decor and she wanted to match that ever so slightly. We happily accommodated her request and customized this suite without the oranges for her to make her intimate wedding truly unique and tailored to her.
Why Choose an Intimate Wedding?
It’s simple “LESS IS MORE” and the minimalism concept is now spreading all over the world with much success.
1 | Personalization
Small elegant wedding trend is simple. Quality over quantity — from food and beverage to design and the guest count. Couples are hosting their celebrations where no detail is spared, and a budget can be spent on higher-impact elements. It is a gift to have unlimited flexibility in planning, customizing, and choosing every element of a unique intimate wedding. Including but not limited to environments for guests, custom food experiences, curated cocktail menus, table décor, immersive elements, floral installations, and entertainment. Your imagination is the only limit.
2 | Relax With Closest Friends And Family
When you have a small initimate wedding, you’re reducing the way you would with a sauce. It becomes tastier. It begins when you reduce the guest list, the need to please a large group disappears. You have the freedom to enjoy more and focus on the smaller details. Small intimate wedding ceremonies are much less formal and more spontaneous. Guests love spontaneity and real genuine displays of emotions, where they are an irreplaceable part. Smaller weddings give you more time to actually figure out what you want. They need less production too. You can create something delicious that is effortless and magical for everyone involved.
3 | Unique Experience
Everyone has a role during the day. Not in the traditional ceremonial sense. Creative meaningful living theatre as a way to celebrate a small wedding. For instance, you may not have space for a DJ and dance floor, but your best friend sings and plays the guitar and steps in to provide music. Or everyone is allowed to upload 5 songs to a playlist! Uniqueness at its best. Not a single wedding arranged this way can be replicated. And being small it's likely more memorable and you get the chance to really speak to everyone and genuinely connect with them to create lasting memories that everyone will talk about in years to come.
