When Lacey got in touch, I knew that I wanted to work with her from the start especially when she started sharing her ideas of what she's looking for in a wedding invitation suite...the flowers, the fact that she wanted a vintage Florida vibe yet adding a slight modern touch to her wedding invitation suite.
I immediately got excited, especially when she wanted to use black as a background with lots and lots of colorful vintage imagery to highlight that Florida garden vibe. I knew I was up for the challenge and I was eager to get started, even before she even booked me!
When working on custom orders it is essential to get things absolutely spot on. All the details described need to be included to ensure that the client will be over the moon with what you produce and to make sure you capture their vision. And ultimately, if they're wowed, you know their guests will be wowed.
Working on Lacey's invitation design wasn't hard. I felt like we both come from the same artistic place and I knew immediately what I was going to design when she started to discuss her ideas.
The bonus part to Lacey's vision was that she also wanted to include gold foil somewhere (which I'm ALWAYS happy to find a way of incorporating that!) and calligraphy! I knew when she asked for calligraphy I immediately reached out to Risha Roll | Restless Heart Calligraphy, she is super talented and even teaches calligraphy courses here in Tampa, FL at The Paper Seahorse.
What made you choose Santa Rosa Beach as your wedding destination?
'We started looking online for wedding venues first. We knew we wanted to get married outside, somewhere in the South close enough to home, surrounded by beautiful trees and nature, and be on the water. When we found Eden Gardens State Park, we drove by around sunset to check it out for ourselves. It has absolutely everything we were looking for, with an added bonus of a gorgeous historic architectural southern house and it felt right as soon as we walked the property! It was perfect because it happened to only be 20 minutes from where my Dad lives and ended up being only 5 minutes from our beautiful reception at The Bay!'
